Department of Machinery and Control Systems KAWAKAMI Yukio - 2019/7 Program Report
Sensors and actuators are important components of mechatronics. Recently, their practical programming to systemize them effectively are required to realize “Embedded Control Systems” in many engineering fields. In this program, students learn 1) the simple embedded control systems, 2) practice programming techniques using of the Rensselaer Mechatronics Kit* including an ArduinoR as a microcontroller, a DC motor, a set of sensors, and 3) how to operate popular software MATLABR and SimulinkR. Since the mathematical model itself does not show the students how the system behaves, it is effective to run experiments using the actual hardware, and then compare the both results. PDF
