Am I allowed to work in Japan?

If you have a student visa, you are allowed to work maximum 28 hours per week(up to 8 hours a day during long-term vacations) and you can apply for it in the airport you will arrive. Please declare that you would like to do a part time job and they will give you a permission stamp. Also you can apply for it at the immigration bureau near where you are staying.
