How do I know if I need a VISA?

If your stay in Japan is more than 90 days you will need to apply for a student visa.

If your stay is less than 90 days, please check the below website:

If your stay is less than 90 days and you do not need a visa, in some countries you will need to check that your passport is a Machine-Readable Passport (MRP) in compliance with ICAO standards.

If your stay is less than 90 days and you need to apply for a short-term visa, we will send the documents (Invitation Letter, Letter of Guarantor, etc...) to your international office. Please apply for the short-term visa at your nearest Japanese Embassy upon receiving the documents.
