生涯学習・地域連携
生涯学習の取り組み
本学では「社会貢献」・「地域貢献」の一環として、大学が持てる専門知識を広く社会・地域に還元するため、幅広い年代層を対象に公開講座を開講しています。本学の教育・研究成果に触れることができる一般向けの理工学系の講座をはじめ、小中学生を対象とした子ども向け講座では、子どもの「ものづくり」に対する興味・感心をそそり、工学・科学への関心を高めることをねらいとした体験型・実験型の講座も開講しています。また、国が推進する社会人のためのリカレント教育として、ビジネスパーソン向け講座や、企業研修として活用できる履修証明プログラムなども企画・開講しています。
We offer learning experience and experiment-based science and engineering lectures specifically for young students to touch the glimpse of our university research and to inspire their curiosity to encourage them towards growing creativity and “Monozukuri”. We also plan and provide certificate programs for individual learners and working adult learners as recurrent education that could be used as company training .
地域連携の取り組み
地域と共にある大学として、積極的に地域連携活動に取り組んでいます。 大宮キャンパスで5月に開催される「大宮祭」、豊洲キャンパスで11月に開催される「芝浦祭」は学生団体や研究室に所属する、学生が主体となって日頃の活動の成果を発表し、模擬店の出店などで、地域住民の方々との交流を図っています。また、本学のキャンパスが立地する江東区、さいたま市およびその関連機関と連携し、本学教員が一般向け、子ども向けの公開講座を開講しているほか、近隣小学校や自治体の各種イベントに協力しています。Collaboration with the Local Community
As a university that works together with the local community, we are actively involved in community cooperation activities. At the Omiya Festival held in May at the Omiya Campus and the Shibaura Festival held in November at the Toyosu Campus, students belonging to student groups and laboratories take the initiative in presenting the results of their daily activities and opening booths to interact with local residents. In addition, in cooperation with Minato Ward, Koto Ward, Saitama City, and other related organizations, where our campus is located, our faculty members hold open lectures for the general public and for children, and cooperate in various events held by nearby elementary schools and local governments.豊洲地区運河ルネサンス協議会の取り組み
本学においては、地域の様々な団体との交流にも力を入れています（「豊友会」、「豊洲地区まちづくり協議会」、「豊洲地区運河ルネサンス協議会」など）。このうち、「豊洲地区運河ルネサンス協議会」においては、本学が事務局を務めている団体で、豊洲地区の自治体、企業、学校などが集まり2009年より活動を展開しています。本協議会は、主催事業として毎年東雲運河にて「船カフェ」と「水彩まつり」のイベントを開催しています。木場の角乗りといった伝統文化の紹介、水陸両用バスの運行による新しい文化体験、そして本学の学生が水上から見た豊洲および江東区をガイドする運河クルーズの実施など、豊洲地区を盛り上げ、知ってもらうための活動を展開しています。Activities of the Toyosu District Canal Renaissance Council
The university is also making efforts to interact with various local organizations (“Hoyukai”, “Toyosu Area Machi-zukuri Council”, “Shibaura Area Canal Renaissance Council”, “Toyosu Area Canal Renaissance Council”, etc.). Of these, the “Toyosu Area Canal Renaissance Council” is an organization for which the University serves as the secretariat, and has been active since 2009, bringing together local governments, businesses, schools, and other organizations in the Toyosu area.Every year, the council organizes the "Boat Cafe" and "Suisai Festival" in Shinonome Canal. The activities include introducing traditional culture such as Kiba squared timber ride, experiencing new culture by operating an amphibious bus, and conducting canal cruises where students from our university guide visitors around Toyosu and Koto-ku as seen from the water.

交流プラザの貸し出しについて
芝浦工業大学有元史郎記念校友会館「交流プラザ」は、大学の地域連携を推進していくための拠点として、2022年に本学豊洲キャンパスに開設しました。交流プラザでは、大学独自の展覧会や学生の卒業制作の展示、本学主催の公開講座を実施していきます。 また、地域の活性化、大学と地域をつなぐことを目的として、江東区住民の方並びに江東区に籍を置く団体の方に、交流プラザの貸し出しを行っています。規約については、こちらよりご確認ください。予約については、こちらよりお願いいたします。
Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT) Shiro Arimoto Memorial Alumni Hall, 「Community Lounge」was opened in 2022 at SIT Toyosu Campus as a base for promoting our regional cooperation activities. At Community Lounge, we will hold graduation project exhibitions, SIT’s unique exhibitions, and open lectures hosted by SIT Regional Cooperation and Lifelong Learning Section and more. In addition, Community Lounge is available for rent for residents and organizations in Koto Ward for the purpose of revitalizing the community and connecting the university and the community.
