Augmented Imaging & Displays (AID) Laboratory
Augmenting Human Vision with VR/AR Displays
We study technologies that assist and augment human vision. By combining display design, fundamental optics, and VR/AR technologies, we aim to create new visual experiences based on human perception. Our research includes supporting people with visual impairments to achieve more natural vision, as well as enabling healthy users to gain “superhuman” visual abilities beyond normal human perception. Through research that expands the possibilities of vision, we explore new ways of seeing the world.
