Regional Design Laboratory

Community-based town development and architectural and urban designs

We are researching methodology for town development and building architecture that is based on each community’s climate, by rediscovering regional resources that have been forgotten, (such as cultures, building structures and social characters that are still alive in the community). Students systematically learn landscape development and the regeneration of architecture and regional communities and implement what they have learned. They will visit the sites of town development as part of their research and experience community design through dialogues with local residents and specialists.
