Smart Education for Creative Engineers Laboratory - SECE Lab.
Designing the future of engineering education by exploring how to cultivate and evaluate the skills engineering students need to thrive in a global environment
At Smart Education for Creative Engineers Laboratory (SECE Lab.), we conduct research on designing learning environments using AI, with the theme "How do we nurture engineers who can thrive globally?" Through approaches such as English-Medium Instruction (EMI) and Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) that connects students worldwide, we explore how students develop international communication and collaboration skills. Furthermore, we also work on how to nurture and measure the "writing skills" and "collaborative skills" required in global environments. By utilizing EdTech and Learning Analytics for analyzing learning data, we empirically demonstrate the future form of engineering education.
