Laboratory of Bio-Industrial Science and Education
Tackling Uncharted Social Challenges with Life Science and AI
Our laboratory is dedicated to advancing Bio-inspired Design, applying nature's principles of adaptation, self-repair, and information processing to create a sustainable future for people and the environment. Drawing inspiration from the sophisticated functions and adaptive strategies evolved by living organisms, we conduct research on advanced sports materials and self-healing concrete technologies that enhance the sustainability of sports facilities, built environments, and urban spaces. We also explore AI technologies based on Bio-inspired Computing, inspired by biological and physical information-processing mechanisms, to address challenges related to health and safety through behavioral analysis in sports and everyday life.(Formerly: Laboratory of Science and Technology Education)
