Sensing and controlling a tiny world

Physicochemical processes based on chipmaking technology (processing by MEMS: micro electromechanical system) have enabled the production of tiny sensors and actuators (power parts). Our laboratory endeavors to sense the physical phenomena of minute ranges (10 to 100 micrometers) using the MEMS processing technology. Specifically, we are attempting to measure the temperature distributions and pressures of the boiling heat transfer surface.
