Geometric Design Laboratory

Researching computer graphics from a mathematical perspective

Computer graphics and related fields are involved in a wide range of fields, including entertainment such as movies, animation, and games, simulation of physical phenomena, visualization in medicine, and design of industrial products and clothing. In our laboratory, we aim to develop better algorithms by analyzing the mathematical structures behind them, especially geometric structures. We also study discrete differential geometry, which is the basis of our research.
