Architecture and Dwelling Environment Design Laboratory

Design research focusing on the dwelling environment

Architectural design encompasses wide areas from materials to urban problems. Focus is especially on problems in relatively small-scale space regarding detached houses and aggregations of them. Our laboratory studies group of houses, which occupies most of the urban environment, from both outside (landscape and economics) and inside (dwelling space and construction method), aiming to develop better design methods for small residential development.
