We are please to inform you the secondary recruitment for Emergency student support handout for Continuing studies from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).
This handout provides cash grants to students who are unable to continue their studies due to a significant decrease in household and part-time income due to the recent spread of COVID-19.
As a general rule, students must be independent from their families and be able to cover their school fees with part-time income, their income must have decreased significantly due to the spread of the COVID-19, and they must be unable to pay school fees and other expenses even with the help of existing support systems.
Application process:
Step 1) Submit FORM 1 and FORM 2 through Scomb
All international students are now belonged to the community called “Emergency support handout”. Access to this community and submit the FORM 1 and 2 by the deadline.
Step 2) Fill in the following Google form, the questions are exact same or related to the question of Form 2.

*Please note that you have to first access to SRAS VPN network to access this form.
[2] Based on the application data and documents, we will screen the applicants to see if they meet the criteria, and if the number of applicants exceeds the quota, we will make a selection. The submission of documents proving the amount of money sent and the decrease in the amount of part-time work is optional, but we ask that you do your best to submit these documents as they will be used as a criterion for selection.
[3] When filling in the form, please keep in mind the followings.
FORM 1
#2: You must register either the Japan Post Bank or another financial institution, and be sure to check the information you have entered.
#3: Please DO fill in Question #3, About yourself and situation.
FORM 2:
#1: The meaning of “large sums from family” includes the tuition, lent fee and any other living expenses.
[4] Please note that any false application may be regarded of refund and disciplinary action under the university rules.
[5] It is only eligible for the students currently staying in Japan.[6] The secondary recruitment is only for the students who haven’t applied for this handout in the first recruitment. You are not allowed to apply this handout for twice.
