(1) A temperature greater than or equal to 37.5℃/100⁰F or feel feverish

(3) Repeated shaking with chills, runny nose, sore throat, cough
(4) New loss of taste or smell
(5) No symptoms, but you believe that you have been in close contact with someone with COVID-19

3. Measures to Prevent the spread of the COVID-19
The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) suggests the following actions for risk assessment:
- Stay Home
- Avoid closed spaces, crowded places and close-contact settings (3Cs)
- Open your windows
- Cover nose/mouse when you cough
- Proper hand washing

Amond these actions, the following preventive measures, in particular, are recommended by health centers:
(1) Proper hand washing (washing hands with soap and running water and drying hands with a paper towel or clean cloth)
(2) Covering the nose and mouse when coughing (limiting the spread of the virus)
(3) Avoiding three densities (3Cs)
- Closed spaces with poor ventilation
- Crowded places with many people nearby
- Close-contact settings such as close-range conversations

※WHO reported that five minutes of face-to-face conversation generates the same number of droplets as one cough (approximately 3000 droplets)

4. 【Recommended】COVID-19 contact confirmation application (COCOA)
(1) To prevent the spread of the COVID-19 infection, MHLW, in cooperation with the team responsible for the researching COVID-19, has developed an app (commonly known as COCOA) for confirming contact with the COVID-19 infected individuals.

(2) This app uses the Bluetooth function of smartphones to notify users of their possible contact with a person who is positive for the COVID-19, while maintaining privacy so that the app users do not have access to each other’s personal information.

(3) By knowing the possibility of contact with an infected person, the user can receive support from a health center, such as a medical examination, more quickly.

(4) The more people use the app, the more functional it will be, so if you have not yet installed the app, we recommend that you do install it on your smartphone by searching for "Contact Verification app" in the App Store or Google Play and installing it for free.
