Photovoltaic (PV) technology achieved interests from due to the environmental friendly benefit. The main factor involved for PV operation includes the level of solar irradiation and temperature that affects the amount of power generated directly, especially when Partial Shading happens, blockage makes PV received less irradiation and in sequence, the reduction of power generated occurs Maximum power point tracking (MPPT) system has been studied and developed in order to track for highest power PV could generate from each PV characteristic curve; however, partial shading condition causes difficulties for developing MPPT since it affects the pattern of curve containing more than one power peak. This paper proposes the new method called “Partial Shading and Global Maximum Power Point Detections” which contributes high efficiency and fast operating power tracking time for PV in shading condition.
