Development of a Community Design House by Collaboration between the University and Residents A Case study on Tsukishima Nagaya School
【Comments about the achievement】
The purpose is to show how to build and operate a community design house by collaboration between university and residents.
The Tsukishima Nagaya School is a traditional row-house and open for everybody who interested about Tsukishima area. University and residents gathered in this school and started their activities that developed to concrete projects in Tsukishima.
This research influenced residents to become interested and realized a value of the context in the housing and residence area. Moreover it cultivated ideas and concepts to new generation and make this community become sustainable.
The activities from this research was attractive to various types of people and led to exchange opinions and experiences to each other’s. The ideas from exchange experiences can use for develop the activities of Tsukishima Nagaya School in the future and can adjust for manage in other communities.
