Outline of Innovative Asia (IA)
This initiative aims to enhance the circulation of competent human resources between Japan and Asian countries and to promote innovation in the whole Asia.
Also inputs by Asian innovative human resources to Japan’s business community are expected to bring about diversity to it, resulting in the mutual benefits between Japan and Asian countries, which will strengthen bilateral diplomatic relationships in the long run.
To this end, opportunities for study and internship in Japan for competent students who are studying at ‘partner schools’ in Asian countries will be provided.
Eligibility to Apply
|1||Nationality: Citizens of one of the 12 Asian countries (Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam)|
|2||Under 40 years of age (as of September 1st in assigned year)|
|3||Bachelor's degree (as of September 1st in assigned year)|
|4||Those who study or graduated from the partner schools|
|5||Adequate English skills both in written and oral communication to complete the master's course or doctor's course|
Selection for Admission

|Eligibility||Students enrolling in IA program|
|Duration||2 year during the Master’s program or 3 year during the Doctor’s program|
|Stipend||Full tuition fees, fees for matriculation and entrance examinations will be waived. Also a monthly stipend will be provided.
