Q1: How can I find my supervisor?
A1: Visit SIT Research Profile (https://shibaura.pure.elsevier.com/en/) and find your preferred professor(s). Then refer to Academic List and check if he/she is able to supervise you in English or not.
Q2: How can I contact my preferred supervisor? I cannot find his/her address.
A2: Contact Graduate School Section (daigakuin@ow.shibaura-it.ac.jp). Attach the following documents with email.

After the office procedures of a pre-screening for the documents you have submitted, your documents should be forwarded to your potential supervisor. Since it could take a few weeks to complete the office procedure, please check the application date and contact Graduate School Section in advance.
ELIGIBILITY
Q1: I do not have a good command of Japanese. Can I still apply for Master’s/Doctor’s Program in SIT?
A1: As SIT offers courses in more than 80 subjects in English at the Graduate School of Engineering and Science, knowledge of Japanese is not requirement.
Q2: Do I fulfill the eligibility to take examination?
A2: It depends on the type of examination. Check the type of examination and each exam information.
TOEIC/TOEFL/IELTS etc.
Q1: Do all the applicants need to submit TOEIC/TOEFL/IELTS?
A1: Yes, all the applicants need to submit the certificate of TOEFL, TOEIC or other equivalent English proficiency test. If you have never taken those examination, ask the person who write your Letter of Recommendation (one of the application documents) to write a letter that describes your English proficiency.
Q2: Is there an expiration date of the official scores?
A2: We cannot accept those that are over two years old, no exceptions.
APPLICATION
Q1: Where can I get the application materials?
A1: Refer to Application Guideline Download page. The guideline should be uploaded 1 week before prequalification examination.
Q2: Do all the application materials need to be original?
A2: Yes, all the application documents have to be original.
Q3: I live abroad now. Do I need to bring the application documents to SIT directly?
A3: No, sending by regular/postal mail is also acceptable. All application documents must be either sent by mail or delivered in person. If you are an overseas applicant, your submitted documents will be reviewed by SIT and then you will be asked to submit original documents via regular mail. Send all scanned documents to Graduate School Section (daigakuin@ow.shibaura-it.ac.jp) via email first, then send them via regular mail to the address below.

Q4: How can I pay the examination fee?
A4: Payment should be done by mail transfer to the designated account. For more detail, email to Graduate School Section (daigakuin@ow.shibaura-it.ac.jp). Credit card payment or any other method is not acceptable.

A1: Yes, you need to take examination. The place of examination, SIT or abroad, depends on the type of exam .

COSTS & SCHOLARSHIP
Q1: How much do I need to pay for tuition and fees?
A1: Refer to "Scholarship System of S.I.T." page.
Q2: Can I receive any scholarship?
A2: It depends on the type of examination . Check the type of examination and each exam information.
Q3: Do I have any opportunity to receive scholarship after enrollment?
A3: Some foundations outside of SIT or companies offer scholarship through SIT. If you satisfy their requirements, you can apply for them.
COURSES
Q1: How can I see the list of courses and the syllabi?
A1: Refer to the website (http://syllabus.sic.shibaura-it.ac.jp/index.html.en). Not all the courses are conducted in English unfortunately. Check the “Language” column in each syllabus.
